SADS 'Quartet' News

Firstly, thankyou to everyone who came along to support our show in October 2022.

All the tickets for all six performances were sold and we received lots of wonderful feedback from the audience about the play and the delicious supper.

All the profits from our shows go to local charities, or charities that are loved by locals. We are able to donate a staggering £10,000! Thank you again for your generosity.

After asking for suggestions of charitable causes that people would like us to support, we decided to donate the money to the following:

FAMILY SUPPORT WORK who help Sussex families in poverty. We had a wonderful letter from them expressing that our donation will help them provide food, advice, and emotional support for those who's needs are greatest as they navigate a way through this difficult cost of living crisis and will enable those helped to look ahead with hope.

SIGHT SAVERS a charity that is close to Terry Parsons' (set designer) heart, who work to prevent avoidable blindness.

MARY'S MEALS is a charity which Stephen Moir is involved with, which provides a child's meal a day at a cost of £15.90 for the year! in the poorest parts of the world. £1000 will make quite a difference!

HALO TRUST who work detonating land mines in some of the world's most war torn areas, enabling people to return to their homes and farm again (Susan has a close family friend who is doing that right now in Yemen).

MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOUNDATION supported by a local young man who has set up a charity to help Ukraine. Delivering food, medicines and blankets to the front line, and reuniting Ukrainian families.

STONEGATE VILLAGE HALL to help to keep the hall running for all of us to use as a community.

It gives us such a warm feeling inside to be able to help people in need. The money we raise is so important to those that receive donations from us, and aren't we lucky to be able to do that.

Looking forward to welcoming you to the next SADS production in October and we will update you with more information closer to the time.

Thank you

The SADS team
