SADS charity donations

We are delighted to say that SADS has just donated £17,000 to the following charities:


£2,000 St.Michaels Hospice, with whom SADS have a long association.


£2,000 divided between Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice and Hospice in the Weald. Terry Parsons choice.


£2,000 Baraka community Partnerships - improving education,healthcare, water and sanitation in Zambia. Caroline Ardron’s choice. She is very involved with this charity and going out to see them again next year. This donation will be matched funded.


£1,500 donation to our beloved Village Hall which continues to serve the community.


£2,000 Mary’s Meals. This charity, close to Stephen Moirs heart, feeds desperately hungry children around the world for £19.15 for a whole school year encouraging them into school and a brighter future. This donation will also be match funded.


£2,000 Childhood First is a charity for severely traumatised children in the uk. Nicola Dealtry’s choice, will pay, amongst other things, for a theatre trip for Kent children.


£2,000 Operation Smile. Maggie Tapsfield’s choice. Maggie’s great friend is a nurse helping surgeons repairing children’s cleft palates world wide.


£1,500 Brighton Sea Cadets. Helping local young children to grow in confidence and to learn team work, respect, loyalty, self discipline and honesty. Jane Altenhoven’s suggestion.


£1,500 Bat For A Chance. Will Gaffney is a Stonegate local who set up this charity helping under privileged children experience the joy of cricket. They collect and source clothing and equipment for dispatch to schools and clubs around the world. They have just launched a second arm to the charity with emphasis on girls cricket.


£360 Mencap. This was raised at our dress rehearsal and given to Bella Turnham who is running the London Marathon for this charity.


£140 Carillon Cottage. This is a volunteer led service offering help and support to everyone in the villages of Wadhurst, Tidebrook and Stonegate.


We are so proud to be able to say, this brings SADS overall donations over the years to £200,000!
